The 2024 Mustang has been completely redesigned, making it the first model of the seventh generation. For drivers, that means new styling, tech upgrades, and a swifter performance! The standard lineup now includes the SYNC 4 infotainment system, with a 13.2-inch touchscreen and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

This year, you can get a Mustang that specializes in thrilling speed, with both the GT and EcoBoost models available with the Performance Package upgrade. This package helps create a truly thrilling ride, with the MagneRide active-damping suspension, upgraded Brembo brakes, a Torsen limited-slip differential, strut-tower brace, and wider wheels and tires.

If you decide to add optional Recaro front sport seats, you also get an active exhaust! The new Mustang is also available with a Performance Electric Parking Brake. Not only does it look just like a traditional lever-action handbrake, but you can also use it to make drifting your Mustang easier than ever.

There’s also a new addition to the Mustang trim lineup: the Dark Horse. Designed for high-performance action, the Dark Horse comes with a high-output version of the Mustang GT’s Coyote V8 engine, plus a longer list of performance upgrades.

Although it’s not the fastest Mustang in the stable, the base EcoBoost model is still pretty fast, going from 0 to 60 mph in just 4.9 seconds. Thanks to its 315-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, the Mustang EcoBoost blends steady speed with pretty good fuel economy, earning up to 26 mpg combined (22 city/33 highway).

Of course, if you prefer more speed, you can always choose the Mustang GT or all-new Dark Horse. As usual, the Mustang GT comes with Ford’s Coyote V8 engine. This year, the GT pumps out 480 horsepower. In Motor Trend speed tests, a Mustang GT with the Performance Package went from 0 to 60 mph in 3.9 seconds, a very impressive time.

The new performance-based trim model, the Dark Horse, is the fastest Mustang available. It features a high-output version of the Mustang GT engine, delivering 500 horses. In speed tests, the Dark Horse with the Handling Package went from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds!
